The independent educational charity, Techniquest, based just around the corner from Powell HQ in Cardiff Bay, received a donation of Senator furniture for their brand-new office space.

Techniquest has recently updated its working environment to cater for an increase in staff, to promote flexibility and to encourage team participation and collaboration. The incentive for this makeover comes from the upcoming renovations and major expansion to the facility, as part of The Science Capital project.

Linda Burbage, Business Services Director at Techniquest, said: “We are so grateful to Powell for their generous donation, their support of our workplace transformation has been really appreciated by the whole Techniquest team. The furniture that has been donated has allowed us to create a workspace that is vibrant and dynamic and provides a collaborative, flexible and inviting space for everyone.”

Gareth Knight, Group Operations and Technical Director at Powell, commented: “Techniquest is a unique charity we are really proud of here in Wales. Techniquest offers a fantastic facility for all visitors, and we wanted to show our support to the hard-working staff that successfully run the centre. By offering high-quality, soft seating that create a chill-out zone within the new office is a small gesture of thanks from Powell.”

Powell has been a keen supporter of local charities and campaigns throughout its 45-year history, having previously donated furniture pieces and accessories to the likes of Welsh Government, whilst sponsoring community events like the Cowbridge Music Festival and local sports teams.

Delivering the furniture pieces to Techniquest was a perfect opportunity for our team to experience the incredible centre all over again. Watch our Business Development Manager, Alex Thau showing off his steady hand skills on our Twitter.
